Mitt Romney put out a lot of ads. In fact, you couldn't turn on the TV or radio without hearing one of them. In spite of all his advertising, he still didn't win. Did Obama out-advertise him? Maybe. That's hard to quantify or qualify. But regardless, Romney's ads didn't put him in the White House.

And then the Obama campaign became besieged with 'why didn't you pick Hillary?' The initial reaction turned from surprise and shock to anger and resentment. 'How dare McCain appoint a woman?' Even Sarah was later to state that perhaps Obama regretted not picking Hillary Clinton.

malaysia election Poor Jon Huntsman. A few short years ago he appeared to be the ultimate GOP general election candidate. Turns out he would be the 2008 Detroit Lions: undefeated in the preseason and endlessly defeated in the regular season. He just didn't live up to the hype. He has the background of a good candidate; he might be able to come back in upcoming years. He could do a lot of good for the GOP, but he needs to be taken seriously first.

Also in the BCRA was the rule that advertisements paid for by a corporation (including non-profit organizations) could not use a candidates name within 30 days of a primary and 60 days of a general election. In effect the bill limited free speech, throwing out the first amendment and putting set rules on the speech of an organization. Sounds like big government to me.

Just because you advertise, it doesn't mean you're going to be successful. Maybe your ads aren't worded properly. Maybe they're not reaching the right people. Maybe you're using the wrong kind of ads. A lot of home business owners think that they can just put up a link and a few catchy words and make tons of sales without doing any market research or preselling beforehand.
